Our Handwritten Font Explained

At Making of the Season, we want to make our human-first approach, and our appreciation for the making process and its imperfections, visible. That’s why, in many of our online and offline expressions, we use our own typeface: Making of the Season Handwritten. We use it in moments where humanity should take center stage, and when a message deserves to be conveyed in a more personal way. This is not an official digital font, but a true human trace: every letter is handwritten on paper by Fleur, and then digitally imported. In this way, we stay true to our values and literally bring our vision to life. Yes, it takes more time and attention — but that’s exactly what we value. Handcraft deserves effort; it lies at the heart of how we work and who we are. A beautiful detail: small “mistakes” or imperfections are intentionally left just as they are. In doing so, we bring a touch of humanity back into the digital world. It’s an invitation to everyone to, like us, continue embracing humanity, attentiveness, and presence in an increasingly digital world.
